Three start-up business success stories have been featured in the latest magazine from Black Country Chamber of Commerce.

Stacie Ryan of Helix Education Hub Ltd, Victoria Robinson of Contored Cosmetics UK and Winston Lindsay of ARK Training and Social Care Consultancy, were interviewed on the growth of their businesses after they participated in start-up programmes delivered by the Chamber in partnership with Wolverhampton Council.

All three businesses received guidance on a range of key skills, such as business planning, finances, sales and marketing and bookkeeping, delivered by the Chamber’s successful Start-Up Club team.

Helix Education, which delivers bespoke education support, has gone on to employ five staff, Contored Cosmetics has worked with clients as far afield as Hawaii and ARK Training and Social Care Consultancy, has grown to extend to a CIC spin-off business.

All three attribute their success to the support and increased confidence they gained through the Chamber programme.

As PR and content writing partner for the Chamber, the Osborn team interviewed each business for the Prosper feature to draw upon our experience communicating the impact of business investment and support.

We also worked with photography students from the University of Wolverhampton, who hosted the magazine cover photo shoot at the School of Art in Wolverhampton.

Director Chris Leggett said: “The Chamber of Commerce is rightly proud of its support for the next generation of businesses through its heritage in impactful start-up programmes, so it was a pleasure to work with three companies with bright futures who have got moving thanks to the support they received.”

The feature was the latest support for new businesses delivered in partnership with the Chamber. In March Osborn Communications provided a workshop on public relations for start-up businesses to help them grow their audience reach.

The Press & PR Start-Up Workshop was held at the Black Country & Marches Institute of Technology and organised with the Black Country Chamber of Commerce Start-Up Business Club.

The free event enabled delegates to better understand how to promote their business through media and public relations.
