Osborn Communications will deliver a workshop on public relations next month for start-up businesses to help them grow their audience reach.
The Start-Up Workshop: Press & PR will be held on Thursday 14th March from 10am at Black Country & Marches Institute of Technology.
Organised with the Black Country Chamber of Commerce Start-Up Club, which turned five in December, the free event will enable delegates to better understand how to promote their business through media and public relations.
The 2021 Chamber start-up business of the year will offer practical insights on a range of topics including:
- How a small business can get themselves in the media
- What makes a good press release, including how to write your news
- How to share your news via the Chamber channels including Prosper and what kind of stories are attractive to the editor
- Applying for awards to get recognition for your company
The event will be free to Start-Up Business Club Members only. The agency, which produces successful digital, PR and marketing work for a range of leading West Midlands brands.

Osborn Communications was recently appointed as the Chamber’s communications partner to promote its impact in the region.
The Osborn team are handling press and public relations work on an interim basis, promoting the Chamber as a positive membership group for Black Country businesses while celebrating member success stories.
Osborn is producing Chamber news to be shared via its website and social media, member channels such as emails and through liaising with external media.
