Osborn Communications has been named as a finalist for the start-up award at the 2021 Black Country Chamber Business Awards – our fourth award finalist placing in five months.
PR and content agency Osborn, which supports a dozen retained clients in the West Midlands and across the UK, is among the finalists for the prestigious prize, to be announced at the annual Chamber awards event at Wolverhampton Racecourse on November 11.
With the mission statement of “powering resilience and recovery across the region“, the awards see 56 finalists competing for 10 awards.
Sponsored by Higgs LLP, the start-up category recognises “individuals or companies who can demonstrate how their drive, ambition and skills create a clear vision for success, enables innovation and shows good growth and growth potential and a willingness to deliver outstanding customer service over the last 12 months”.
With a number of key Black Country clients on its roster, Osborn is an active member of the Chamber, flying the flag for the region by promoting its customers to national and international audiences.
The Black Country Chamber awards recognition has set up a busy evening for the Osborn team. Also to be announced on November 11, Osborn is a finalist for the Start Up prize at the 2021 West Midlands Business Masters Awards, organised by regional news website Business Desk.
TheBusinessDesk.com launched the 2021 West Midlands Business Masters Awards to celebrate the companies in the region which have achieved outstanding results over the past 12 months. The winners will be revealed at a hotel in Birmingham.
In August Chris Leggett, founder of Osborn, which delivers content and media support for small-to-medium sized enterprises and start-ups, was named among the finalists for the Independent PR Practitioner of the Year prize at the Chartered Institute of Public Relations Midland Pride Awards. In June, Osborn was named as a finalist for the Excellence in Sales and Marketing award at the Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce Awards.
Chris Leggett said: “Being named as a finalist for another leading start-up award means a great deal, given our longstanding links with the Black Country and its resilient business community. The Black Country is evolving with some fantastic new companies being launched so to be among such a strong group of finalists is a great endorsement after only just over a year of trading.
“Our aim is to provide as many businesses and organisations as possible with access to high quality, affordable communications services to get their positive news in front of target audiences.
“As business owners continue to rebuild following successive lockdowns, we are hearing that many feel they are not doing their companies justice with their PR and marketing activity, which is where we can help.
“We provide practical support through effective content creation so that their organisations gain recognition and engagement, which means they can feel confident about generating new opportunities.”
