Osborn Communications founder Chris Leggett is preparing to share his expertise at the forthcoming Future-Proof Marketing: AI, Video, SEO & Inclusive Design Unpacked event.
Hosted by The Creative Chain as part of Wolverhampton Business Week, this free workshop – which takes place on 25 September – is designed to empower small business owners with the knowledge and tools they need to thrive in today’s fast-evolving marketing landscape.
The event, running from 8.30am to 12.30pm, will bring together a line-up of six expert speakers from the fields of marketing, branding and communications, including Carolyn Smith of TPSquared, strategic marketer Chris Green, Mike Chinn of Stone’s Throw Media, Gurpreet Dhillion of Digital D and Chris Carter of VOiD Applications.

Chris’s talk, entitled ‘Gimme Some Truth’, will explore the enduring importance of authentic storytelling in the age of AI.

As artificial intelligence continues to transform the way content is created and shared, Chris believes that the human touch is more vital than ever.
“With so much digital noise, it’s easy for businesses to feel lost in the crowd,” Chris explains. “But what really sets a brand apart is its ability to tell a genuine story that people can relate to.”
In his session, with the venue to be confirmed, Chris will explore how traditional PR strategies – built on clear messaging and real connections – can help businesses cut through the clutter.
“While AI can be a powerful tool for generating ideas and speeding up content production, it cannot replace the trust and credibility that come from a company’s true voice.
“For small businesses, especially those in the Midlands, this means focusing on what makes their story unique and sharing it in a way that feels honest and approachable.”
A highlight of Chris’s talk will be his focus on earned media. Unlike paid advertising, earned media is about getting your business featured in news outlets, blogs or social channels because your story is worth sharing.
Chris will offer practical tips on how to secure this kind of coverage, helping businesses reach wider audiences, build their reputation and demonstrate their credibility.
