The Midlands Air Ambulance has become the second good cause to benefit from funding as part of our celebrations to mark four successful years in business.
Through our partnership with Lord Combustion Services, award-winning Osborn has provided Midlands Air Ambulance Charity with a charitable donation as part of our four acts of kindness campaign.
Our business, which provides PR and media relations support services to businesses to boost their brand, is supporting four good causes, one for each of the years of progress since we launched in 2020.
The donation to the Midlands Air Ambulance was made through a charity ball in October organised by Lord Combustion Services.
The event raised £20,000 for Midlands Air Ambulance to fund the charity’s blood delivery car for a further two years as well as the equivalent of six air ambulance missions and seven critical care car missions, all through generous donations at a dinner held at the Grand Hotel in Birmingham.
Famous host
In total, 135 staff, suppliers, clients and business partners attended the event hosted by Lord Combustion Services, which is based in Dudley Road East, Oldbury.
The funds were collected through ticket sales, company sponsorships, a charity raffle, a fun casino and an auction for the good cause. The evening was hosted by ex Formula 1 racing driver Perry McCarthy, the original Stig from Top Gear.
Osborn Communications director Chris Leggett said: “The Midlands Air Ambulance is the second good cause to benefit from our four acts of kindness campaign and represents the company giving back to local causes following four successful years in business.
“We applaud Lord Combustion Services for their fundraising efforts and know that the £20,000 raised will make a huge difference to the lifesaving services the Midlands Air Ambulance provide.”
Lord Combustion Services managing director Stuart Smith said: “Thank you very much to Osborn Communications for their support with this important cause. We have enjoyed a long working partnership with Osborn and are glad they recognise the value which Midlands Air Ambulance Charity bring to the West Midlands.”
The YMCA Black Country Group was the first good cause to receive charitable support with a donation to their 180 Degree Fund, launched as part of the national YMCA’s 180th anniversary.
Osborn Communications was recently named finalist for the prestigious sales and marketing award at the 2025 Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce Awards, to be announced in a ceremony on February 27 at the ICC in Centenary Square.
