A campaign to get more women into work backed by Osborn Communications has won a top marketing award.
Leading security specialist GMS Group picked up the Best Marketing Campaign prize from top West Midlands news brand Express & Star at an awards ceremony at Wolverhampton Racecourse on Thursday (June 9).
Osborn has provided PR and media support for GMS and their Women In Security campaign, which was launched to encourage more female staff to join the sector.
With high profile coverage on the BBC TV news and support from Mayor of the West Midlands Andy Street, as well as online and traditional marketing activity to drive engagement, GMS encouraged women to apply for new roles ahead of high profile projects going live including the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham.
Osborn also provided media relations support to get a mix of news and security sector coverage.
With its HQ in Oakham Rd, GMS employs 500 staff delivering security solutions across the UK for leading brands including Jaguar Land Rover, Aston Martin, CEMEX UK, Neovia, Kerry Foods and Avison Young.
Osborn Director Chris Leggett said: “Congratulations to GMS for their fantastic success in winning the prestigious Express & Star award for their marketing campaign which has made such a positive difference.
“We have been delighted to work with them for more than a year to drive awareness of this important effort to change lives, helping them get more women into employment as the economy and the job market reshapes following the pandemic.”
